Does anyone know if the scholarship capacities for NROTC units are published? And how are they determined?

I've never seen them published anywhere. I do not know how the number is determined for each college, but I wouldn't be surprised if tuition cost was a factor. It certainly would be if I were running it!

They are not published. A variety of factors play in- public/private, academic reputation of the school, nuke production, % of students who commission with technical majors, Marine production, etc.

Are the sideload scholarships part of the number?

DS is a 4/c College Programmer at a school with what I would presume to be a very small scholarship capacity. He is currently awaiting results on his re-application this year (SATs were a little low) , but looking toward a strong 3-year sideload application and unit recommendation. He has #2 GPA and #2 PRT of CPs in the unit ( the #1's are not the same person). Trying to figure out if there is "capacity" for him to be on scholarship or if he is in for a longer road before getting a clearer path to a commission.

He's not affected. Scholarship cap only applies to incoming true freshmen. Current college program applicants are not counted.
