So I was granted a scholarship to James Madison University which is amazing, but.....I was waitlisted to JMU. What are my options from here?

I am planning on appealing the decision to JMU, to see if there is a possibility to get accepted, if I do, no problem. If I do not get accepted, is it possible to apply to have the scholarship transferred to a college where I was accepted? How good are my odds of it getting transferred if this is possible?

Congrats to all the other who got a scholarship!

When appealing to JMU you might mention the scholarship. Also worth calling the cadre at JMU to mention the waitlist status and see if they can lend assistance. In fact that might be worthwhile doing first. If these efforts fail you can try to transfer but there are no guarantees, although I'm sure they'll do their best.

You will receive a letter with your offer that will explain the transfer process. You may have two options if JMU won't budge, request a transfer to a school you did get accepted to, or wait for JMU to let you in and go to campus ready to compete for a campus based scholarship.

Thanks to both of you, I'm working with the ROO at JMU and my school counselor to see if I can get JMU to accept me.
