Typically how long does the process take for a scholarship to be approved & to be successfully transferred from brigade to brigade?

Prior posts indicate transfer processing time varies from "wow that sailed through and was approved in a few days" to "I've been waiting for several weeks and can't get an update". This is the summer in ROTC-land and academia, where many key decision makers are either off on personal time off or off on other duties (Marine Month, NSI, other duties) so responses from key decision makers may be delayed. Some people are simply not actively checking their email and are not engaged. If this is a hypothetical, that should answer your question. If this is a real need on an active transfer request, recommend you work with your administrative contact at your unit, or then chain of command at your unit if you're not getting specific responses or updates to track for a status as/ if needed. Good luck.

DS did his in April about 2 weeks after the 3rd board. Approved within a week I think.

Incoming ROO told him this:

If you are switching from a same dollar to same dollar school it doesn't matter to CC.

High dollar to lower dollar is better for CC.

You might run into issues with low dollar (in state tution) to high dollar (out of state public or Ivy).

@TBVADAD -- @Cadet35 did not indicate the transfer is as a current ROTC scholarship cadet. He's completed at least his MS1 year so it may also require a recommendation from the current PMS or Cadre, review of graduation timeline, and the 'mission set' of his graduating class at the new school.
