Scholarship

I just won a $2,500 Discus Award Scholarship for community service, athletics and their "other" categories. This award is good for 300 colleges nationwide but the academy is still where I want to be. How good does a scholorship like this look on an application?

it says that the USCGA gives exceptions when accepting scholarships, I would recommend (and USCGA does too) to contact your admissions officer.

If you have been awarded a cash scholarship it can be applied toward the debt that is accrued due to uniform issue, computer and textbooks. Once accepted at USCGA, and if the scholarship requires that the money be sent directly to the academic institution, then the money could be transferred to USCGA Cadet Admin (the dept that handles cadet pay).
