I know that at this stage it will not matter as much, but long story short I have had some academic issues in the past which leaves me skeptical of my chances.

My school is a diocesan Catholic school so some of my chances have been restricted since it is a school that is only 14 years old and doesn't receive public funding. USAFA states they will look at what my school offers, however, my school did not offer AP's until my junior year, and that same year they put AP's in for freshmen and sophomores. This year, the school added a more robust STEM program including programming and engineering. The first in school history, such classes which had not been offered any other year I had been there.

In regards to mathematics, they also required a math placement exam my freshman year and I got put in Algebra 1 Advanced my freshman year (my 8th grade class wasn't even halfway through the curriculum when I took it). My school is also very strict on class advancement so getting additional AP and Honors classes took a lot of debating with my school counselor because I had really started proving I didn't belong in the advanced area and instead with Honors and AP.

Does USAFA check only what your school currently offers? Or does it look at what the school offered course-wise had in previous years vs. now?

the school profile should hopefully give that sort of information. otherwise, have a frank discussion with your guidance counselor and ask they explain that in their submitted info
