So lets say a friend of mine :rolleyes2: has a 610 verbal and 790 math score on the SAT. Will that verbal score be a big disadvantage in terms of the SAT section of the application or will admissions just see a good composite score of 1400 and a great math score of 790? I've read so many forums on test scores and I know the most common response is something like "it's all about how well rounded you are" but I guess I'm just looking for some thoughts. :wiggle:

In my opinion I believe that the service academies do value MATH more BUT there is no excuse to do bad on the english! Overall your score is pretty great! I believe CGA superstores so you might want to consider retaking it (if covid allows)! Goodluck!

You never know unless you apply. Standardized test scores are only one part of the overall picture.

You can always retake the test so you can improve the verbal score.
