I recently saw this on Youtube - a 58 minute video of the Sea Trials this year produced by Comcast Sportsnet.

I searched the forum, but did not see that anyone has posted a link or discussed it as yet. Since I do not have greater than 10 posts, I am unable to post a link. I saw a link on USNA Facebook as well (June 30th)

Any thoughts? (great info, too much info, does or doesn't portray the reality of the day?)

There's the link for anyone who wants it. I watched it and thought it was good. One of the guys they highlighted is in my company so that may be part of why I found it interesting, but for anyone who wants to get an idea of what Sea Trials entails, it's a worthwhile watch.

Number of Participants

Out of curiosity, the video kept referring to around 900 participants. Does not all of the Plebe class participate?

It's held during 0 block, so if plebes are completing summer training during 0 block, they aren't around to participate.

They probably counted all the upperclass helping in that number. My company had around half of the plebes there, which was slightly less than normal. I'd guess there were around 700, maybe 800 plebes overall.

I can guarantee you that hardly a single football player participates in Sea Trials in any way.
