Sea Trials for C/O '25

Any reports from current Plebes (or others) on whether they are done yet? I am stalking IG (not on FB and DW is out of house) but cant tell if done yet. Not sure DS will call when done or not.

IG post from 0230 said they were starting the 12-14 hour grind.

I guess my math was off...0200 start plus 14 hours puts it at 1600. Got it. Phew had to pull out my toes do that math.

I asked my DS to send a brief "Proof of Life" text when it was over. I have had a few Waldo Sightings on IG but nothing from him. I honestly don't expect to hear. Just seeing the few photo's has shown me he was ready for this!

My firstie is home and we have been watching along on social medias. Really brings back memories!! For both of us! One of my favorite pictures ever of him from his own sea trails, after it was completed, exactly 2 minutes after sitting down…zonked. Both he and his buddy.

DD is one of the few females left in her company doing the sea trials. Bunch of her female company mates are on medical chit So it’s been easy to spot DD when doing Waldo hunt.

Kind of. We saw photos of DD in the early phases, with a smile on her face as she maneuvered mud and mess. We saw photos of her on that final run over the bridge, the smile long gone. She was still in her “Marines — I don’t think so” phase.

Since then, she has often run over that bridge to get to the BSC for her club-team practices. And now she’s a Devil Dog-to-be.

Just got a quick call from DS. He had a blast and did well. Sea Trials is over. Check off that box! Here comes Herndon! LET’s Go 25!!!

What is Sea Trials? Daughter never mentioned it last year.

Oh well. I suppose she survived. It’s a year latter.

Btw … did you know that the New theory in Physics is that “Time” doesn’t really exist.

So thankful for the opportunities provided. Very proud of DD and knowing her background, she has come far.

She just told us today while R&R last weekend, she hurt her knee badly. The fact that she participated in sea trials and did not do med chit makes her papa and mama proud.

Grind starts again tomorrow for her as she is taking zero period doing some training.

DS called around 1900 saying he survived, was in his rack and would call tomorrow and promptly ended the call. So proud! Go ‘25!
