Apparently, the last time that Trump played in an actual tournament that he didn't run, on a course that he didn't own, staffed by people he didn't pay, was in 2006 in the American Century Championship held at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort. It was a three round tournament, on a par 72 course. He shot a 268 and finished 62nd out of 80 contestants. Nothing wrong with that at all - basically bogey golf.
However, if he was a +2.5 handicap, he would have shot a 209. If he was a -2.5 handicap, he would have shot a 223. And that was 19 years ago. I sincerely doubt that his game is better at 79 than it was at 60. So for him to claim that he is a 2.5 handicap is...improbable.
Of course, it was during that tournament that Trump "allegedly" hooked up with Stormy Daniels. So maybe his game was impaired at bit.
