Within form SF86, it states that "all questions on this form must be answered. If no response is necessary or applicable, indicate this on the form with 'N/A,' unless otherwise noted". My question is, if within the form it tells me to skip an entire section (e.g. If you have not had any other names, skip to section X), do I still need to fill out the skipped section with "N/A"? I'm assuming yes but I would just like to make sure. Thanks!

Are they requiring you to fill out the SF86, print it and take the package with you to I-Day? Or, is it being submitted totally online before you go this year?

Last year, DD only had to print and take with her pages that did NOT have N/A on them. They then completed and submitted it online at USAFA during BCT.

I'm required to fill it out, print it, and take with with me on I-Day. I understand that I only have to print the pages without N/A on them, but I was wondering if even if the form tells me to skip a section, do I have to fill out the fields within the section I am supposed to skip with N/A or am I allowed to leave it blank?

Leave it blank. It says skip it.

SF86 forms are tedious, at best, and can be confusing. Just pay close attention to the wording.

I have been completing them for decades, with slight changes every time that can be misleading. When the form was first put online as EQuip, it was worse and a few questions were "improved" over time to make them more clear.

Since it sounds like you're doing the same as last year, search the forum for SF86. We had a thread about it going last year at this time that may answer any additional questions.
