Security Clearances for Programmers

Hi all,

DS, a MID4/C MO programmer, completed a security interview this week. He indicated they might interview me and his brother about his dual citizenship.

Any insights as to why they are interviewing him now? Seems early.

He knows he'll need to affirm his USA citizenship and renounce his secondary (by virtual of parents' birth nationality). Does anyone know what form that takes?

I expect they're doing this so he can attend NSI this summer. They would do it prior to commissioning in any case.
