Seeking Virginia Tech Corp of Cadets Parents Group

Im currently in the VTCC and I dont know of any parents groups. But over the summer youll go to orientation and meet plenty of other families with kids entering the Corps.

I found a Yahoo group, but it doesn't appear to be active. I have seen the U-tube Q&A for Corp of Cadets. But, I've found this forum so helpful, I was hoping there might be a group specific to VTCC. Are you ROTC?

Im Air Force. Your son will like the NROTC unit here. I have lots of friends in it who constantly talk about the advantages VT Navy has over other schools.

Still, theyre going to lose to us in dodgeball tomorrow at PT.

My son is hoping to be an AROTC cadet at VT in the fall. (class of 2014).
He has applied ED so he will find out in less than 5 weeks! He also is going for the ROTC scholarship - his file is complete but did not get an offer at the first board, so we wait for the next board. This is hard! I'd love to know 2 things:
What was your cadet's experience with applying to VT, applying for a scholarship? and how does he like it so far?
Also: can you direct me to any parent group you found for VT Cadets?
