So Im home sick from school and just for fun I decided to check on the status of my NROTC scholarship application. I scanned it and something popped out at me!

Congratulations!
You have been selected for a 4-yr Navy Option scholarship.

But now, I have some questions. Will I have to complete a physical fitness test in order to receive my scholarship? Also, I have already been qualified by DODMERB for USCGA, will I have to go through the process again?

Any help is appreciated!!

CONGRATS!

Log onto DODMERB and check your status for the ROTC side of things...

I am not sure about the ROTC program, but I know my daughter had to do a CFA for USMMA (she passed), even though she did the PFE for the CGA.

where do you want to go to school to use that ROTC scholarship?????

Thanks!!

J Collins,

Your support and good luck wishes in the CGA thread paid off!! Thank you so much!

I want to attend Norwich University with the scholarship, its my #2 school, right behind CGA. My mom's co-worker will be happy, he graduated from Norwich!

Awesome!!! Hey its my pleasure to support and offer well wishes...
are you still planning on waiting for the CGA's word or ???

This has been an amazing time for some... and well for the rest of us we are just gonna stand by and wait for our packages to arrive... :)

YEAH!!!

Congrats Trackandfield08.....that is great news!!!!.....

I have an NROTC scholarship as well and when I asked Larry Mullen about DODMERB he told me once the NROTC tells DODMERB I am in the system then things will all connect you will see that ROTC will show up on DODMERB page. Sure enough it did!

Perhaps this will make the wait for today's mail a bit easier ;)

Oh, I am definitely still waiting on word from CGA, that is my #1 choice, no matter how many scholarships I get. Besides, I still have time before I even have to think of formally accepting the scholarship...at least I think I have time. Does anyone know when we have to choose to accept/decline the scholarship?

Congrats what a wonderful holiday present. Get well soon!:jump1:

Does anyone know when we have to choose to accept/decline the scholarship?

My letter came with a short acceptance/declination questionnaire that said to be returned to Pensacola by January 5th. I'm sure this date moves for each board that meets, but I'd keep an eye out for that letter

Just curious, when you completed your application? Anyone know about how long it takes once the status is...

Your application is at Naval Education and Training Command for final processing and selection determination. Selection decisions will begin in late August and continue until the end of April. Once a selection decision has been made, your new status will be reflected.

I completed my application October 30, and it was faxed by my Coordinator to NETC just in time for the November boards. So, I found out a little under 2 months later.
