Has anyone sent information from doctor, etc to DoDMERB without a request from DoDMERB? The waiting since end of November without any communication has been tough, but now I'm wondering if my daughter should go ahead and get a letter from her doctor and send it. The language in the letter indicates that DoDMERB welcomes information at anytime: "Any additional medical information you submit now will be forwarded for the waiver authority’s review."
Just wondering if anyone else has submitted without a request and how that went?

We submitted my son's summary sheet his pediatrician had sent over when we were first filling out the DoDMETS medical information. When he was DQed for asthma, I sent over the summary sheet because it showed he hadn't gone for an exam after March '19. Don't know if it helped but it certainly didn't harm. He got his AMI request earlier this week and has his appts scheduled for last week of Feb.

Send any and all new information or tests. I was denied waiver twice. Sent in a new test and got it approved.

I am doing the same thing. I am DQ for current or history of cholesteatoma. I submitted requested AMI, then denied by NROTC. I submitted personal statement and doctors letter. Denied again. My last checkup was 9/2023. I'm going in this Monday 2/20/24 for another checkup. I hope to prove like the doctor stated earlier that I'm cured and it's less than one percent of recurring considering my history and case.

I'll submit the newest visit summary with doctor notes. I really hope this updated checkup will get my waiver to go through for my NROTC-MO scholarship. This was my plan B. I also won the AROTC scholarship recently and got my nominations now waiting on appointments for West Point and USNA. Medical waiver pending for all those. Any advice appreciated.
