Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!

Rear Admiral David Glasgow Farragut, USN
Battle of Mobile Bay, August 5, 1864

Since it is historic you can probably get away with the mild expletive.
I like it because it shows perseverance, while considering the danger he knows, he presses on.

Some men see things as they are and ask why. Others dream things that never were and ask why not.
President JFK.

It was Robert F. Kennedy quoting George Bernard Shaw.

“There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why... I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?”

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget ye were our countrymen." -- Samuel Adams

Try looking up Churchill quotes... Politics, war, marriage, humor, he was a great orator.

From Five Star General Douglas MacArthur's speech to West Point, May 12, 1962

"Duty," "Honor," "Country" — those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you want to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying point to build courage when courage seems to fail, to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith, to create hope when hope becomes forlorn.

or

Yours is the profession of arms, the will to win, the sure knowledge that in war there is no substitute for victory, that if you lose, the Nation will be destroyed, that the very obsession of your public service must be Duty, Honor, Country.
