I've already picked my courses for senior year and the core courses I've signed up for are AP Statistics, AP Government/Economics, BIO 103 (Dual enrollment biology), and English 12. I am currently taking Algebra 2 with Trigonometry but because of my grade my teacher told me to take AP Stats instead of Pre-Calculus. Do the service academies accept AP Stats?

Take Pre-calculus. The academies highly recommend you take calculus in high school, but at the least take pre calc.

Calculus is a core subject at SAs. They are not breezy courses, even for those who took AP in high school. Do all you can to prepare yourself for that. If an SA doesn’t see evidence that you’ll be able to handle college-level calculus, it’ll likely affect your chances of admission.

Definitely Calculus. If anything, having a background in high school will make taking it in college much more easier. Can't recommend it enough

I never took calculus in Highschool, instead I took AP stats and right now college calculus really isn't that bad if you are committed to getting help and learning. It is not an easy course by any means, but I personally don't feel like I needed it. Everybody is different though, if you feel math, especially functions and trig are not your strong suit take it.
