Cindy Sheehan, the soldier’s mother who galvanized an anti-war movement with her monthlong protest outside President Bush’s ranch, said Tuesday she’s done being the public face of the movement.

“I’ve been wondering why I’m killing myself and wondering why the Democrats caved in to George Bush,” Sheehan told The Associated Press while driving from her property in Crawford to the airport, where she planned to return to her native California.

“I’m going home for awhile to try and be normal,” she said....

Poor Cindy.

Peace activist Cindy Sheehan, pictured during an anti-war demonstration in front of the White House on May 14, said that she no longer wants to be the face of the anti-war movement.

Her words, "resigning my position" in another article I read yesterday, kinda made my eyebrow raise all by itself.

:confused1:

Not a moment too Soon

I am not a fan of hers. I will fight for her right to free speech, however I do not have to agree with her at all. Her son fought for all of us and paid the ultimate sacrifice. I think that she was COMPLETELY WRONG in hers views.

Good riddance.

Now, if only Al Gore would follow her example... :thumb:

When was she elected? Dang! I missed the vote?:yllol:

Good. I'm tired of her and her rhetoric.

Maybe she'll go back to her buddy Chavez and demand that he stop the violence he has been heaping upon the opposition media.
