If you have had Shingles before, is that an automatic disqualification? Is eczema?

I believe both are, not 100% positive, but over the course of time here, I have seen both of these conditions become a DQ. The important issue to remember is DoDMERB DQ's, each branch will determine whether or not to waive the DQ. Army can say yes, AF can say no.

If they are DQ'd they will go through the waiver process which can take weeks to months and may or may not require more medical exams/paperwork.

Shingles is not automatically disqualifying. I had it in high school and didn't have a problem with DoDMERB. Now I'm a lowly 1st LT living the dream.

Shingles - no. It's the Herpes Zoster virus, same as chicken pox. My kid had it as well, there was no concern.

Eczema - this depends on when you had it, how severe etc. If/when you indicate you have had eczema, there is, I believe an eczema questionnaire they will have you complete to provide more information.
