Shoes for SLE

My ds will bring whichever shoes that he wants to take the CFA in which should be his normal crosstraining shoes, I'm guessing. I doubt they'll be running any distances that would require him to bring dedicated running shoes.
 
Last year the most we ran was a mile or two at 9-10 minute pace, nothing very intense so you'd probably be okay in whatever you want to bring. There's a lot of standing so choose something comfortable, it's totally fine if you wear running shoes to everything so don't feel like you have to pack 4 pairs of shoes, keep it light when possible.
 
My students have taken running shoes and good walking shoes, as they did both during SLE. I hope you will take the time to learn as much as you can about West Point. Congratulations on your selection for SLE. Four of my students will be joining you over the summer!
