Short Question about USNA admissions

I️ still have not heard back from the admissions board. I️ know that final decisions come out April 14th, does this mean that an appointment is unlikely or that they simply haven’t gotten to my application?

It means you are still in the running...until you are not. There is no way of knowing what is going on with your application. Hurry up and wait is a military skill, time to practice it!

Be patient. Yo do not need to decide on a final alternate plan until late April. You'll have plenty of time (in most cases) to lock in plan B.

USNA commits to notifying all applicants as to their status by April 15. Some have already heard; many others are still in the same position as you -- waiting to hear. Everyone should continue to pursue alternatives to USNA until they receive official notification.
