Should all congressional noms be out by now?

I received a nomination from one of my Senators and a Congressional nomination. Both were received very close to each other. Should they both show on my portal. The Only one on my portal is my Senators nomination?

Yes, they will, at some point, both be on your portal.

My DS did not get his nomination until feb 9th , so no, not all out yet.

To be clear, nomination slates must be submitted by MOC to SA by 1/31. A candidate can hear at any time after the slate is completed — which can be before or after the slate is submitted.

New to forums- wanted to be closer to finish line before I jumped in.

So DD got a second domination to USMA from our Senator in the mail yesterday. (she had already received one from our Rep a couple of weeks ago) Then this am when she checked her portal, it showed 3 green check marks in the nominations section. Does this mean she also got one from the remaining Senator?
She also applied to USNA, and no nomination for that as of yet, but she was quite clear in her interviews that USMA was her first choice.

She is also 3Q'd and has been since first of November, but no LOA.

if it shows State61 twice, two noms from same senator. If it shows State61 and State62, nominations from both senators. With the 5 quota, MOCs will have two slates on occasion.

Could also be State62 twice, but again, two noms from same senator

the deadline is Jan 31, but it's not uncommon for MOC's to be late.

the past few years Senator Warren didn't submit her slate till the first week of Feb. DS was notified by her office that she had given him a nom and it showed up in the portal about a week AFTER he'd already received the appointment

Exactly...our junior senator awarded before senior senator, and both before congressional (which was all different than two years prior with first son and different congressional member).

Additionally, earlier go arounds with same senators didn’t coordinate. This year they did. So it changed with same senators.

They can and do whatever they want! The only set rule is they are due January 31st.
Agree. In our state, the congressmen typically announce before both senators. USMA RC told us lots of coordination goes on so that kids that need them get them without too much overlap with the right ones getting Noms. I remember RC telling us in Nov that he sees too many MOC Noms not even complete files with Admissions by the deadline with them wondering why kids started files in the first place. Overall, our kids were (are) grateful for admissions reps from all our academy experiences - they're volunteers and care very much about their academies.

I actually haven’t really thought much about this: MOC’s that have earlier deadlines, submit their slates early, and end up having applicants on their slates that don’t complete their academy application [emoji848].

I wonder how all that works. Do they add another candidate to their submitted slate (if before January 31st)? Maybe it doesn’t really matter. I guess this is a good reason to submit a slate later rather than early?
