Should Appointees Update File?

I received an appointment to USMA in November, and now have filled out most of the paperwork, but I have a question about updating my file. My dad thinks that West Point probably wants me to send updates about the ECs I have done during my senior year, even though I'm already appointed. Is this true? Thanks for any advice.

I e-mailed my RC that same question a little while ago. He said there was no need to update the file if you've been granted an appointment besides making sure your transcripts get in and such. He said to focus on the admissables/grey cards
