I have always been interested in going to the naval academy, but only received nominations for the merchant marine academy and air force academy. Is there any point in finishing my app. All I have to do is the interview. I dont want to waste my Bgo's time.

Yes, you definitely should. Apply for the Vice president nomination online. There is no interviews or anything and the deadline hasnt passed. Theres always a chance

If USNA is really what you want, leave it all on the floor. Complete everything. Do not quit. There is always a chance until there is not.

If you don’t receive an offer of appointment this year, which you definitely won’t if you don’t complete, and you decide to re-apply next year, how will that decision reflect on you?

Another point we heard from our BGO yesterday is that if USNA really really wants you, they will find a way ( nomination ) for you. So there is always a shot if you are a candidate they want.

There is only one certainty in this process -- 100% of those that don't complete the application will not get in.
Is there a chance you will reapply ? How would it look next year if you don't complete the application.

If it helps.... I did not receive a USAFA nom during the initial round, but I still applied. As the school year came to a close, I was on the national wait list and after someone dropped out (very late in the game), my Senator's office was called by USAFA admissions and was asked to nominate me because I was the next highest qualified on NWL to backfill the slot from the student on his slate that backed out. In the final weeks prior to BCT, there is a frantic race to fill all available slots and they move quickly. If the school wants you, they fill help find a NOM on your behalf. The key is that you did apply to all nominating authorities and you did complete the admissions process.

MOC NOM's (which I think is what you are referring to) are only one of the sources of NOM's used by USNA. Hopefully, you have applied for ALL NOM's for which your are eligible.

If your goal is to become an officer in the US Navy, you can commission as an ensign straight out of USMMA. Many grads do it every year. I also understand that getting a Naval Flight slot out of USMMA is easier than it is out of USNA.
