Should I Follow Up With ROO About Transfer?

Almost two weeks ago I put in a transfer request for my AROTC Scholarship. I had talked with the ROO at the school and he said "The wait time on that sometimes varies, but I will be following up with Cadet Command to make sure that it is honored on time," when I asked about how long it would take to hear back about the request. I haven't talked with the ROO since and I haven't heard anything from Cadet Command. Should I reach back out and readress the transfer again as the deadline for deciding what school I attend next year is May 1. I am visiting the school this Sunday and will see the ROO there so I could always wait to follow up till then. I know that results were just released for the final board (I applied and won a four year during the second board). I don't want to bug him and Cadet Command may just be getting reorganized now that final results came out.

Since it has been two weeks, a nice email follow up is fine. I would also remind him that you are visiting campus, and request to meet with one or more of the cadre members, and get a cadet's contact info as well.

You aren't bugging them. I'd email ROO and Cadet Command tomorrow and just ask for a status update on your transfer request.

Hopefully, should be soon now that third board is over. Are there any situations like your awarded schools were in-state public and now you are hoping to transfer to a private school? If so, I believe that can take a little time.

My son transferred from in state public to out of state public and it was about two weeks or so.
