Should I let NROTC know about my extra schools?

So, like many of you know, NROTC only lets you list 5 schools for placement purposes.

But I applied to over 10 schools that have NROTC programs. Should I let Pensacola know that I applied to other schools that I might be able to use the scholarship at?

It was very hard for me to make a list of only 5 schools, and I would be happy at all of my NROTC schools.

I have not been selected for a scholarship yet, I still have the "No decision has been..." status. If there is an opening at one of my other schools, though, would they maybe award me a scholarship to one of my "extra" schools?

Some of the schools on my list are reach-y and while I have fairly solid stats (4.2 GPA, 2110 SAT, Eagle Scout, etc...) my NROTC list might be changing anyway.

Thoughts? I will probably email them later today, but I wanted some feedback from people that know more than me about the process.

I changed my school order a few weeks ago and the Navy was pretty prompt about it, and I figure with this, I don’t really have anything to lose.

Thank you!

by all means contact Ms. Parker at NSTC and go over your list of schools with her on the phone.
