I applied to USAFA and was rejected. Now, I'm torn between moving on or giving it one more shot. I would really appreciate advice. Here are my stats-

Academics
SAT- 2090
Class Rank- Valedictorian in a class of 486
GPA- 4.22

Extracurriculars
Four years Varsity Cross Country, Captain Senior year
Three years Varsity Track
Four years Marching Band, 1st Chair in my section
50 Hours Community Service for NHS
CFA 67 ft bbthrow 11 pullups 50 pushups 75 situps 8.8 shuttle 4:57 mile

In hindsight, my interview, essays, and probably letters of recommendation were not the greatest.

I don't think I'll be able to improve my academics or athletics in college, so would improving my character be enough to merit another application?

Those are solid numbers. Why don't you do AFROTC non scholarship, reapply or stay in with scholarship. Both routes get you to an o-1.

Always reapply. DS got TWE last year, reapplied with same stats this year and got in. One year older, one year wiser!

Also the SA's loovveee reapplicants! It shows them your determination and commitment to get in ;)

Absolutely, my DS was qualified, but assuming not enough slots for our state. He reapplied this fall and was appointed in February.

Wow~ you seem very qualified, you definitely should apply again, you can always improve on essays & interviews. I am just curious as to know why you think teachers recommendations were not so great?? Also, how many AP classes did you take?
