Should I submit this CFA?

Hello! I'm new to the forums here, so please excuse me/let me know if I make any errors throughout this post. I took my first attempt at the CFA today, and my coach said that he can submit it if I'd like, or count it as a practice, because I had planned to also do it on Jan. 4th. I had assumed we could enter 2 tries even if I didn't fail, but I don't know if that's true or not. I would be more ready on Jan. 4th, but my deadline is Jan. 15, so I want to have enough time for my interview as well (I heard it takes up to 2 weeks to schedule). Here are my scores, for context I'm a 17 year old female.
Basketball: 40ft
FAH: 31 sec
Shuttle Run: 9.78 sec
Sit Ups: 95
Push-Ups: 41
Mile: 7:56
I think it's passing, but if I have the opportunity to do better, I'd want to take it. Please let me know your thoughts! :)

@kuzupekos. Give yourself, and your coach, the gift of time. It’s the season;). Have him submit your scores. Prep for your interview. Good luck.

just a heads up, the interview is not due when the application is due. I did mine about a month after my application was submitted (my ALO wasnt responding to my emails so I had to request a different person to interview me). Also submit those scores, I would be fearful that weather would be bad in January for you to take it again.

In my humble opinion, I think you passed.

I am also a female and passed with about the same scores except for I only got 19 sec. for the FAH and then got 7:18 for the mile run. I was thinking about waiting to take it again, but I'm glad I submitted it with plenty of time because it was one less thing to worry about. Also, where I live there have been so many unpredictable wildfires that make it impossible to exercise outside some days.

I was able to get a better score (and finally get the pullup) when I took the test 2 months later for another academy, but with my luck I would've come down with COVID, gotten injured, or had some sort of natural disaster that would stop me from taking it again.

Alright, coming from a reapplicant who has taken the CFA many times and knows the secrets inside and out, here's my evaluation:
  • Yes, these scores will pass. On every event where you did not exceed the averages, you were very close to them. Combine that with your above-average scores on the FAH and sit-ups, this test is passing.
  • They say the CFA is pass/fail. It is. But, since none of us truly know what goes on during the selections process, it may be safer to try and score better.
  • If you think you can improve in the next few weeks and beat all of the averages, I would try to.
Again, I think these scores will pass, but if you think you can score higher, my advice is to go for the higher scores. No need to risk it if you think you can beat all of the averages. You have until the 15th to get this done, so you have time.

If you need any tips or tricks for the CFA to try and get better scores, PM me. I have a ton written down.

My DD passed CFA on 1st attempt and your scores are better in every respect to hers. Good Luck and Happy holidays.
How do you know your DD officially passed? Is 'no news' after submission good news?
My son said he wasn't sure how to determine status?

Also for the larger group, he understood USAFA only allowed one attempt. He normally runs a ~6.5 minute mile but was over 7 in his CFA and is concerned. He is going to retake it in January for a different academy but now we are wondering if USAFA will accept a second attempt as well?

Thank You!

DD checked with admissions and she got a prompt reply back that she passed. She received an LOA with a nom condition within a month of that.
