I am a HS sophomore and I have really wanted to go to West Point for over a year. I get good grades and I am doing all that I can to get appointed, but I am wondering if there is some way that I can express my early interest in West Point. I want to show admissions that I already know that I want to go to WP, but I don't know how. I sent a request for information on the WP website and recieved a brochure in the mail, and I have been to the campus for two football games, but should I make a formal visit? What else can I do to show my interest so that they know I already plan on applying?

SLS next year; talk to your MOCs about nominations.

- Show your interest by excelling in academics, athletics and leadership.
- With your request for information from West Point, your name is in the database and you will continue to receive information.
- Plan a day visit to West Point next year: http://www.usma.edu/admissions/SitePages/Visit.aspx
- Agree with BillSL that you should apply to the Summer Program in January of your Junior year.
- Attend any WP informational sessions that are held in your area.
- Attend an All-Academy event hosted by one or more of your MOCs.
- Find out who your Field Force Rep is and contact them letting them know of your interest in WP. Ask them to let you know of any of the information sessions and All-Academy events.

Thanks for the replies. I know a little bit about it but how and when do I apply to Boy's State?
