Anyone here know anything about the SMP? How much tuition assistance can doing the Guard actually give you? Is it a super huge commitment?

Going to vary by state. You need to talk to someone at your school. Most ROTC programs have a NG liaison that can answer your questions. You can also SMP with the Reserve but usually the college tuition is better through the guard. Talk to your ROTC department.

There are plenty of prior threads on these forums that discuss SMP. Use the search function. You can probably find out what the commitments are for the Guard/Reserves using Google or your favorite search engine.

Less than an AROTC scholarship. Less than Army AD tuition assistance. Less than the Forever GI Bill.
