My DD was DQd for history of psoriasis.
She was notified by USMA and USAFA that they were submitting her for a waiver. Today on her DoDMERB current medical status it says:
USMA—under DoDMERB review (again)
USAFA—pending waiver submission/review.

Both had previously said DQ.
Anyone know the difference?

Also, there’s notice of a letter dated/sent Dec 15 called Disqualification Rebuttal/new medical info required. Is this a notification of a waiver request? We have not received a letter with this title.

Your DD will get the most accurate answer when she calls her DODMERB tech for clarification, especially if she hasn’t received the letter mentioned.

There are techs assigned to alphabet sections by surname, and the name/contact info is findable online at DODMERB. If she hasn’t had reason to find it before and has trouble, I am sure another poster can give exact pointers.

Thanks for the info. She just asked me to reach out on the forum (she’s not a member) since it’s Sunday.

She’s still DQ, but it looks like a review is in process and there is movement on her case at various SAs. I think the key thing to determine if there is any action pending for her in terms of additional remedial info requested.

Keep us posted! We all know the DODMERB grinder is painful.

DD AROTC is also a DQ (for history of allergy..) and we have also not received letter sent. She sent an email. Thanks for the list of contacts to call.

DS DQ'd and the portal also said they sent a letter which he did not receive. He called and she said they are having trouble with their system not sending the documents and she emailed it to him. Also, both USAFA and USNA say "pending waiver submission/review". She said that means that they have submitted a request for a waiver and the request is being reviewed.

Hi! My son is DQ for history of food allergy...did your DD get a waiver? He has applied to USNA and NROTC. He's now just hopefully waiting for a waiver review to be triggered.

"Under DoDMERB Review", as my technician just told me, means they have requested the waiver and are processing the info from the academy.. most likely more info required. Or, if you have already submitted the additional info, then they are reviewing that to send to the academy.
"Pending Waiver Review" means DoDMERB has not received any notice from AROTC that they have requested the waiver. Just be patient, the government can be really slow.
