Hello:

So I have been accepted to SLE session 2 this year, and I just have a couple of questions.

Question #1 Should I actually bring a fan to West Point? I know that the barracks don't have A/C but I am torn if I should actually bring one or hope that someone else will.

Question #2 - How is the Cadet Cadre interview like? I have read that sometime during SLE a member of the SLE cadre will interview you and I am curious how that is.

Any response would be great!

1. Don't bring a fan. Chances are one of your roommates will bring one anyway, and it's not worth holding more weight around IMPO.

2. They take 3-5 minutes to ask you a few simple questions. It will just feel like a casual conversation between you and your squad leader.

I hope you have as much fun as I did during my SLE :)

Ahh, SLE. Once upon a time called SLS. good times. Yeah, don't bring a fan you're not that weak. The interview is just something your SL will do and it will go in your file and go in there like an assessment of you as a future cadet. Not sure how much role it plays in admissions

Thank you! It helps a lot

Thank you! Going Saturday it will be a fun experience!

I am bringing a fan. I heard there is going to be a heatwave next week. The fan I'm bringing is small enough to cool me down in close quarters but I don't think it is strong enough to cool the entire room, also if all your roommates decided to not bring a fan because "someone else is sure to bring one" you are going to have a very sweaty time in the barracks.

Just take cold showers...the only time you're going to be using it is right before you go to bed anyway. You'll be too busy having fun in the day, outside and inside.

Yea I just got back. It was great. You shouldn't need a fan, cuz youre up in the mountains and its pretty cool outside in the mornings just leave the windows open overnight.

The interview is real casual, just about your intentions for West Point. Dont forget Sir/Ma'am/Sergeant! Lol

The interview is extremely easy. They will make it very casual and lower your stress. Bring a fan!! You guys will be there during a heat wave. Once again, the interview is very easy!!!
