SLE 2020 Acceptance?

When you apply for SLE, you just need to report your scores. They don’t need to be sent to USMA for SLE.

My DS attended SLE last summer and was turned down for NASS. He received appointments to both Army and Navy. Do not get caught up in this process. Looking back, I believe the SA's use these partly as a recruiting tool. Is it fun to attend? Sure. Does it have any impact on an appointment? No. He was able to complete his CFA while at West Point. That was incredibly helpful. Plus, they will send CFA scores to the other SAs

I applied this week and was wondering if those from late January and early February are still waiting for a response for SLE?

Congrats on the offer! What did your resume look like? I applied mid February and haven’t heard back...
31 ACT
3.84 UW, 4.11 W GPA
2 Varsity letters (Soccer)
2 Years Academic All Conference
Multiple team awards
Regional level club soccer
National Honor Society
Student Government Class Representative
Church Group
Founding member of Freedom Council (School organization to send packages to currently deployed graduates of our high school)

Class Rank- 41/721

Thanks, hope you get an offer soon as well.

Just curious at what point the denials will be sent. My DD application is still pending and she applied in mid Jan. It would have been nice for her to attend the SLE because she is still not sure if she wants to apply to WP. She will probably apply and if gets an appointment, I guess we can try an overnight trip if it’s available. But just won’t be the same as 4 days.

I applied mid February and am still pending as well. I’m curious as to whether they will send acceptances/rejections out this week since it is spring break for West Point. Hang in there, some people received acceptances as late as April.

My DS opened his USMA application/SLE literally when it opened (01/15 midnight). SLE portal was down for a few days so I guess eventually he was able to make the final submission as soon as it came back on. We have not heard back on the SLE yet (looking at Week 2). His status still says "Pending". Someone mentioned that USMA waits till the deadline (03/15) and we should start seeing some decisions one way or another. My DS is a Junior in an IB High school program so I don't know what his current GPA translates to but he's got a mix of As and Bs. They don't have a concept of AP courses since the entire curriculum is apparently considered AP. His best ACT so far is 31 and a SAT of 1400. He has been on his high school swim team since his Freshman year and a Boys State Delegate this upcoming summer. Is anyone in the same boat as far as SLE is concerned and how do you think he stacks up with the current stats? Thanks in advance.
