SLE acceptance

I just figured out that I wasn't accepted. My stats aren't very impressive, so it's not like I am in complete disbelief. I'm not going to complain about not getting an offer because I honestly should have put forth a lot more effort into my schoolwork and there are probably a lot more people out there who are more deserving for a slot to SLE than me. I'm going to take full responsibility for my bad high school stats and learn from this experience.

Good luck to everyone else who applied!

Now there's same character! I respect you!

Well this is getting agonizing, hopefully all the offers and non-offers are going to go out today because my pending status is getting annoying. What kind of scores/grades do the guys and girls who have made it in so far have?

Evidently NC isn't far enough south. But my point is lots of folks will not be able to take the opportunity at that time. I'm sure they'll fill their slots but geographic distribution may be a problem.

NC's schedule is mostly different due to the requirements for reopening (ie: school can't get back in session until late august/early september)

In GA we get out around Labor Day

Nervous!

I haven't heard from them yet; I applied with a 2280 SAT score. Some of my friends in nearby high schools have already gotten accepted so I'm starting to get nervous. Good luck to everyone else!

Well your SAT scores crush mine, but I haven't heard anything either. When did you apply?

I applied within the first week of when they began to accept applications...
It sucks that there's only one session available... Session 1 takes place on the day of my school's prom:thumbdown:

Thats rough! I applied on the first day at midnight, so I was thinking maybe they are sending out the emails in reverse order.

JamesMurph I have gotten anything either. When did you apply?

I applied in the middle of January, still nothing. I applied with a 2180 PSAT if that helps (hoping to get a 2300 on Saturday for the real one), and lots of Athletic achievements as well.

One of my friends applied the first week and he was one of the first people to be accepted... Ah well it's just a waiting game... at least we haven't been rejected yet:wink:

Thats weird then I have no idea what their system is of sending out the emails. I just want to find out today! It has been killing me! I heard that some people have gotten rejection emails, so ours could go either way.

Same here man, hopefully I haven't annoyed my FFR too much today :yllol:. Have you applied to any other Seminars?

I applied to Navy just because everyone told my to, but I am all army. I haven't heard anything from Navy tho.
Did you apply to any others?

Yeah I'm hoping the whole 'no news is good news' saying can reign somewhat true. 34 ACT, decent athletics/leadership, good class rank (~7%). Worried that my athletic abilities might go overlooked as I've never earned a varsity letter, as we're one of those athletic powerhouse schools within my respective program, even though I'm a lower-tier D1 recruit and really pretty decent athletically. Also we only allow senior captains, so I'm hoping that isn't a strike against me.

The order of acceptances has virtually nothing to do with the order you of application submissions;
At this point all applications likely have been reviewed, but you may not here until early April

Don't lose hope, and keep in mind that just because you don't hear anything doesn't mean you won't get in

Question:
If you get the email, and don't want to decline are you supposed to do anything. The email seemed to indicate that you don't do anything unless you intend to decline, did I understand that correctly? Thanks in advance !!

Same, applied to Navy but I wish I hadn't missed the AFASS deadline.

That's too bad, but that's a great ACT score so I think you'll be ok.

I applied with a 182 PSAT score, 4.0 GPA, and two years of Varsity Girls wrestling, but I have a lot of extra-curriculars. Got my acceptance this morning.

I wasn't aware that they asked for GPA during the applications... Did I miss that or...
