I have been accepted to both West Point SLE and Naval Academy Summer Seminar. They are both paid for and I'm set to go, but I recently got an email that said that I got taken off the alternate list and accepted into TN Governor's School of International Studies, which is a very prestigious program. GSIS doesn't cost anything, but the problem is that I have to choose between NASS and SLE or GSIS because of time issues. What do you all think?

Will the dates interfere? I'd say try to go to all of them. I got assigned to both NASS and SLE session 1, but I got it all figured out so I'm able to go to both.

SLE and NASS are the first two weeks of June and GSIS is the whole month of June, so getting to go to all three is sadly not an option.

Sle and nass have no positive impact on your application to admissions, they are simply a means for you to get an in depth experience with the academies. If you are currently not as strong as possible in your leadership section of your application and governors school is going to be an opportunity to increase leadership to your file in that respect, that would be the direction I would take.

They can. Two ways I can help. The first is if there are leadership opportunities at it. Being able to put that on an application can add points. Many summer programs are not necessarily competitive to get into and therefore won't just add points. Not sure if this program falls within that. The other way it can help is in your essays and interviews. Talking about what you learned there, leading others, meeting others, etc. a lot of these programs give good experiences that can help round out these areas.
