I've sent in my SAT scores to USMA but the scores have not yet been updated on my candidate portal profile. How long does it usually take before Westpoint receives my scores? No one in my family has gone through the college process in America so this is still all a big mystery to us...

You don't have to send your scores to them to apply for SLE, you can simply type your scores into the boxes. They will not update it for you, you have to type it in.

Usually two to three weeks is a good approximation. First there is the actual time it takes to reach admissions - whether that is weather delays or sorting on base. Then there is the priority of effort and volume of updates that are being done. This is a manual process to update your scores by a handful of technicians. With two classes open, working on admitting 2019 and SLE for 2020, there can be piles of work.

After the candidate questionnaire, candidates cannot update their files directly.

I was actually looking at DDs Portal yesterday. Your self-reported scores should appear in your SLE "tab" but only "official" scores appear in the profile tab. So, if you had collegeboard send the scores, they should appear in the Profile. DDs ACT scores are showing up from the Feb 7 test date already.

I emailed admissions and they put my scores into my portal within a day
