Hello,

Does anyone know when more acceptances for SLE will go out? Also how many slots are still open for SLE?

Hello,
I was wondering the same thing, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was accepted to NASS Session 2 on February 12, but still have not had any correspondence regarding SLE.

I've received no official correspondences from WP so far...I'm debating whether I should shoot them an email...

Does the admission team notify you of your acceptance/rejection through email and/or the candidate portal? If so, where do they notify you on the portal?

The Air Force Academy notified me through email and the candidate portal, so I would guess that the USMA will do the same.

On the portal if you log in there is a tab called SLE. Click on it and it will tell you your status. It should say pending right now if you have applied and haven't been accepted yet. I heard that they have not rejected anyone yet. I also heard that it is a rolling admission. My friend submitted his and was accepted just two days later; I submitted mine about two weeks before him and mine is still pending. Another wave will hopefully come out soon.

I got my acceptance by email and I applied the first day and heard back 2 months later! Best of luck!

I got my declination letter about 3 weeks before. If you really want to go to usma and you don't get in keep up the dream and apply anyway. Me and a few other appointees got in without an SLE acceptance

Does anyone know when the latest they would send out acceptances is? Also are acceptances sent out geographically, as in applicants from California might get accepted before applicants from New York are even evaluated?

SLE has been very slow for the majority of acceptances this year so don't worry :) check WP's Facebook and your portal regularly though! They're sending everything out by April 15th.

Got denied from SLE about 4 weeks after I submitted my app, but I'll be reporting for R-Day in June. Don't read to much into an acceptance or declination.

Congrats to those accepted to SLE- my son is still "pending".
Was it posted as "denied" in portal for those who have gone through this- ?-being able to report to R day was worth the initial denial to SLE I am sure so congrats!
The only official correspondence he has is from last week with a non- committal email about applying . Is there anything else to look for?

Thank you !

Son's profile remains "pending" as well. I've never doubted the claims that others have made that acceptance/denial to SLE is an indication of a future appointment to West Point. In fact, my other son, a recent USMA grad, went to visit a group of fellow grads a couple of weeks ago. Knowing his brother's unselected SLE status, he stated that he asked about 10 of his friends if they went to SLS (now SLE) but each replied that they hadn't. DS is very excited to experience it all if selected, but knows to keep pressing forward despite the hard punch an initial denial may ultimately bring.

USMAx2- funny you should say that because my son had recently received an email from a WP grad who told him not to sweat getting in to the summer program or not - he joked that 4years at USMA and however many years serving he still hasn't met anyone who actually attended! Keep going!
