My daughter applied to SLE the day the applications came out, yet she hasn’t heard anything and it’s the first week of April. We know that we’ll hear by no later than April 15, but it’s worrying us that it’s taking very long. Anyone have success with this or insight?
 
If USMA says you’ll hear by the 15th, why is this considered “very long”? It’s only the 3rd. On top of which, the upheaval we’re dealing with...that affects SLE admissions too. As has been noted on this forum many times, the summer outreach programs are not the SAs’ priority right now. Their main concern is the health of their student body, the graduating class, and the incoming class.

OP, I can only take an educated guess. I am in the same boat as your daughter. I was a bit disappointed because I have not heard, as I know some offers from SLE went out weeks ago. I assume I am on some sort of waiting list as the portal says my application is still pending. I also received an email saying I should hear something by April 5th. Air Force offers all went out over a month ago. Navy offers seem to have gone out in stages. I know that I had until April 2nd to RSVP for the Navy offer I got. SLE was my first choice and if I get in I will see if my family can afford to send me as we have already paid for Navy also. If I had to guess the SLE folks are waiting to hear back from those who have received offers so they can dip into the wait list. Anyway, as others have noted it does not affect admissions (they say) and certainly in this climate there are so many other priorities. Good luck to your daughter.

I'm in the same boat as you. My DS status has been pending since the beginning. I received an email this morning about pending SLE status. So check your email you may have the same message. Good luck to your DD!!

At least it sounded if pending there is still a chance if it happens....
