SLS Acceptance

Hello all,

Now that the adrenaline rush of finally being able to open a file and apply for SLS has passed, I'm wondering if anyone knows when acceptance letters will be sent. Also, do they send rejection letters, or do you just keep waiting... and waiting... and waiting... with your hope slowly dying? I'd rather just know and not be wondering for months.

Last year, WP sent out some SLS acceptance letters about 1-2 weeks after the application opens (at the soonest). Many may not hear until several months pass. But yes, they do tell you if you are not offered a spot for this year's SLS.

After the April 1 deadline? The West Point site says some people might get acceptances before then. Did you mean after applications open?

last year i applied for sls, i got a rejection letter within a month. I am aware of some people that were told to wait and wait and wait.

If your denied, dont worry about it. For most of us the psat was the first ever SAT like thing we had ever taken. I Took the SAT and got a great score. Good enough to land me an LOA at USNA. I went to NASS because I didnt get into SLS. Best decision of my life so far. Moved Navy to #1 slot.
