So SLS (for me) is in a week or so. Any tips or advice that anyone has for all of us? Perhaps usefull items/clothes that may not be on the packing list. Or will the packing list be absolutely all I need? Perhaps a way to have fun near the airport while waiting for planes to arrive?

10 days... I'll be there too, can't wait.

I can't think of much else to bring. I mean we'll basically be up from 5AM til 9 or 10PM so we probably won't have much free time. I wouldn't exactly bring a laptop, but I'll have to bring homework unfortunately...

i will definitely be there too guys!! can't wait for this awesome experience! I have to pack a little extra because im flying to USAFA after this week! CAN'T WAIT!!!

Other SLS buddies...I met up with like a dozen of guys and girls at the same gate, all of us heading out to WP for SLS.

nah man at the academy...ill probably be wearing a polish soccer jersey >.<

Well I'll be sure to keep a look out for you then. I'd definitely be willing to meet up at the Academy! (Especially considering we're both from NY)

And I'll consider bringing one or two of my Polish Football jerseys, the ones made in support of the team during FIFA. Or possibly my white Puma polo shirt...which has a quite noticeable Polish Eagle on the chest. :shake:

I'll look forward to meeting some of you guys there.. out of the 500 we're bound to meet up somewhere right?

for realz, it would be awesome if we were in the same like company or squad or something, or hopefully the same class

O just a point of advice, if ur in JROTC or somethin of that nature, keep it on the DL and don't say anything about it...

No. You're really not. You might meet one or two kids who are in your classes and by the end of the week be able to carry on a conversation with a couple other kids in your platoon but most likely you will only talk to the kids in your squad and maybe the squad in front of you and behind you.

Oh jeez. Do I sense a personal experience? I guess I will keep that under wraps!

No, I haven't been in JROTC or CAP or gone to military school or anything. But there were a couple incidences of kids doing stupid stuff and saying like they knew everything about the military because they were in JROTC. I'm not trying to put down the programs, just don't let cadre know about it.

Can't wait to hopefully meet at least a few you guys. I'm plannin on, as of right now, wearing my bright safety yellow green Brazilian jiu-jitsu shirt  I should be very easy to spot when I get there.
