The CGA has a rare snow day today as a result of the big storm we are encountering along with the rest of the Northeast. I think it's only the second one in my son's four years. Have fun cadets. :shake:

That's cool.....

but does that mean the admissions folks are off too, because the mailman is still working:yllol::smile::yllol::shake::smile::yllol::redface::eek:???

It doesn't matter....

...if the admissions folks are working, silly girl. OUR kids' packages are in the mail, remember?:rolleyes::thumb:

The snow days are because the faculty and staff cannot make it in. The cadets could go to class all day long, but no one would be there to teach them.

Cadets were off school today anyway for a "in-service" day, so no big deal.

No one else (except food service staff) is working today.

I bet at some point today, there will be some Cadets sledding down the hill outside Chase Hall on those cafeteria trays - it's a sight to see!

Umm Luigi are you sure about "in-service day?" It is strange that all the cadets are bragging about a snow day on their facebook pages...

According to the cadet I spoke with this morning, the snow day was no big deal as they had no classes today anyway.

Perhaps other "obligations" that were canceled (other than school) has those cadets in a good mood?

Facebook?

I thought Facebook/MySpace were a no no? Maybe for it's ok for upperclass cadets? Do tell...

....son doesn't have one anyway, but it is nice to know.

Funny thing is, my daughter and I ONLY setup a facebook page because CGA admissions suggest "check out our admissions group at facebook...."

LOL...

AND CGA even has a facebook group for all those accepted to join so they can "get to know each other".

I wonder, do they make them delete their pages?

not like ly. they probly just let them kno that iff they are caught on it that they will regret it. cuz they can find out what they have been doing on thier computers

KP had no such luck for a snow day. Second tri-mester finals are being held and they all trudged around in winter wonderland sweating tests. My suggestion of making snow cream was not looked kindly upon. Geez. No humor up there what so ever.
