I was just wondering how AFA deals with big winter storms (or other storms). One would assume that if there is a very large or inconventiently-timed snowstorm, AFA might consider a delay rather than a day off. I understand a snow day is no one's favorite since it would then require Saturday classes as make up days, correct?

Was there significant accumulation of that fluffy white stuff today or last night?

there was enough to give us all a two hour delay...

Which basically translated to a nice 2 hour nap.....

interesting they told us to have our doors open at 9 and all was good

ha. we had a k bowl at 6 this morning...so we got done, started calling minutes, then took an hour and a half nap. then had to walk a while to the evil swimming class-with tests today :unhappy::thumbdown::mad:

Well Water Survival now-a-days are suppose to be for 3-degrees. However, since they are fixing one of the pools, all of the 4-degrees are taking it as well as 3-degrees. In any rate, it is a course teaching you how to drown in your ABU's.

Controlled Drowning.

Yay for another delay. They notified us 5 minutes before we were about to call minutes...

haha Water Survival is much worse...

Thats debatable, if you hate heights than yes, but if not than I think they are about the same, minus tredding water.

Yeah they sent out emails telling us about the two hour delays. A couple of upperclassmen were talking about what would happen if they didnt have classes one day and apparently they just scratch that lesson and move on to the next lesson, no make up day.

First Snow

Any First Snow Stories? Upperclassman feeling a chill?

This wasn't the first snow.

Water haze is a gut check.
Swimming is a skill check.

A couple weeks ago we threw all of Wing Staff in the snow... that was fun.

If we miss a day, sometimes we have to make it up on a saturday as was done once last semester.

Ahhh....

Ya haven't lived until you:

a. Find the entrances to the "ceilings" over the pool
b. Remove several of the ceiling tiles OVER the deep end
c. MAKE CERTAIN you're not over the 10M tower
d. Drop through, in the dark, to the "I CAN'T SEE IT" water below

And then get away without a Form 10 (actually I think it was a CDB that folks got hammered with)...

That is now my task handed to me by my master. I will fulfill these wishes before recognition.

Hanging a banner off the roof of Mitch's is a good one. :thumb:
That was my freshman squad's mission.

Something big appearing on the 3rd floor roof of fairchild is usually pretty humorous.
