Anyone want to comment on average amount of time it takes between board decisions and status changing on NROTC scholarships?

some threads from last year seemed to indicate a two week delay from the NROTC Board ending, to the time the applicant was notified via a Status Change on the Application website.

However it does seem that your DoDMERB status (that is, if you already have access to DoDMERB) will be changed before your NROTC website...

Please check your online application status at the NROTC website periodically for any updates.

DoDMERB will not have access to any information until we roll the records over to them.

Great! How soon after you "roll" the records to DoDMERB is it posted on the DoDMERB site?

How soon after a decision is made by the NROTC scholarship board is that information posted (updated) on the NROTC scholarship status site?

Thanks.

aglages, your insistent posts make me at once smile and wince. :)
Should I refrain from asking direct questions of the people in a position to provide answers or is it the wording of my posts that causes you to wince?
I'm glad that my posts bring some happiness to you and hopefully the responses from Mr Mullen and Ms Parker will also provide all of us some enlightenment about the process. :thumb:

actually it is more that without intonation from spoken questions, it's hard to tell if a written question is accompanied by a stomping foot, or a smile. The stomping foot makes me wince, the smile makes me smile. That's always an issue with written communication (email, internet bulletin boards, etc.).

The timeline of when selection results are released is varied. We attempt to have them out within a couple of weeks, however, it is dependent upon different variables. We have to wait until the selection letters have been completed, reviewed, and signed. There are alot of steps when it comes to processing, selecting, and placing applicants.

We receive thousands of applications as well. If your record is not selected or even reveiwed by one board, it will roll over to the next. We continue to have boards until April 2011. We will send out non-select letters around April time frame.

Also we begin receiving applications in April of each year.

Ms. Parker: Thank you for explaining the timeline for me (us). You say that there are "alot of steps when it comes to processing, selecting, and placing applicants"; when in the timeline do you "roll" the records to DoDMERB?

Perhaps Me Mullen can address the question of "how many hours/days after NROTC (or any other ROTC program) "rolls" "tu" to the DodMERB site it takes before the DoDMERB site reflects that information?"

With your information and Mr Mullens' I think we'll get a better overall view of the process and some idea of what to expect, when to expect it and where the best location (site) would be to look for the changes in status.

Thanks again.:thumb:

It varies from one board to another. We attempt to process as quickly as possible so there is no definite answer I can provide you.
