Someone paid for my son's lunch

Well the esteem Mr. Lembcke must be correct, I'm sure there is no agenda at all in any of his three books.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Mr. Lembcke on tour with Spenser Rapone soon.
I wasnt using this to prove that spitting didnt happen. Just wanted to show that there are those who say it didnt happen. The interesting part was the comment "single substantiated media report" as if some reporter ever had the opporunity to catch someone spitting at someone

My Army Reserve nephew had people pay for his meals quite a bit, when in uniform, and he's near no base.

Yep, people are more likely to pay for your meal when you aren't near a base - because it isn't a daily occurrence to see the uniform. As a reservist I had people pay for cinnamon twists for our table at Taco Bell; 10 bucks of gas in my car; and on one memorable occasion, our entire table's lunch at Olive Garden (there were about 20 of us there). Most do it and run, so you can't thank them. When visiting my S-I-L last year, I bought a soldier's coffee who was in the line ahead of me at the gas station. It wasn't until later in the day I realized I'd go broke if I bought meals for all the soldiers I saw in uniform in the town next to Fort Riley.
