DS got an email invitation for a BGO Alumni dinner.

I know this means nothing for the application process but I would like to know what it's all about. Can any of the BGO's give a little insight & feedback please. We are going I just havent read or heard of this before.

DS got the same invite ... We are also in CT . I read through the invite and it sounds like they are inviting all candidates from the state to meet the alumni and make USNA contacts . Sounds like a fun night . We will be attending so we will se you there!
 
BGO Alumni dinner with candidates is normal in Connecticut. They do it almost every year. It is a good dinner and they always have an informative speaker. Go if you can. You can get a lot of information with one on one.
 
It doesn't sound like it's "BGO Alumni". It would probably be more accurately named "BGO and Naval Academy Alumni". (Just guessing). So it seems like an opportunity for folks to be in a room with other folks who can answer their questions and probably share some sea stories.
 
My son got an invite for a lunch as a guest of the local alumni. We live in Oklahoma.
