SOUND OFF! RA Mail Stalkers/DoD"NERDS"

Hi everyone. I'm guessing from everyones responses it time to start stalking again.
 
Way back when, our eldest daughter received a phone call the first week of May; she'd already accepted to VT with a NROTC scholarship, but quickly called to inform them that she would be attending USCGA. :thumb: We now call her Ensign.
 
Spring Break at Academy

Looking at last years posts it seems that the big mailing came right after Spring break. This week is Spring break at the academy, I believe, so hopefully we will be getting good news over the next couple of weeks.

I am get to old to feel this nervous and anxious. DS is taking this in much better stride than I am. At least outwardly he is calm, cool, and collected. :confused:
 
I don't know if this is any indication of how fast decisions are reported to DoDMERB for all cases, but my son declined his AFROTC yesterday for someone else to have a chance at it, and DoDMERB today already says, "Declined." Fast mov'in! -officer

Thank you. Not long now, and we should have some resolution. Our boys are going to be just fine no matter what lies in their future. The Big Man upstairs has them in His hand. Hang Tuff and Semper Gumby! -officer
 
Any news going out/being received this week? I'm a proud stalker of this time last year on these boards and was just curious. Any takers? -officer

The 19th was a GREAT day for us last year...oh my it's been a year already!!!

Here's hoping the next few weeks brings many, many BFE's to everyone on this board!

Ok...here is what you do....
1. Take a deep breath
2. Open bottle of wine
3. Pour a glass (or two or three)
4. Repeat until anxiety passes, or you pass out. Whichever comes first.

or....

1. Take a deep breath
2. Open 2 lb. box of See's Candy
3. Eat mindlessly while watching you tube videos of swab summer, ignoring all household responsibilities
4. Pass out from sugar shock

Either way you probably will forget about the mailman and DoDMERB stalking. For a little while anyway. :wink:

No Way Shellz,

Did you smuggle a remote nanny-cam into my house when I wasn't looking. You and I are kindred spirits. I get See's every year for my birthday, and a glass of wine while watching CG stuff is always a great idea. Actually, I was just looking at Steve's Eagle pics yesterday. How in the world did he get aloft with a camera in his hand? Thank you my friend for some great suggestions--really needed a laugh today :shake: -officer

I am not stalking the mailmanlady anymore...just Dodmerb.

Son received his acceptance to his last civilian college this weekend, so now we are just waiting for USCGA and USNA.

Hope we all get good news soon!

Great minds think alike!!!

I don't want to know how he got up there with the camera. Too scary! He did say they are clipped in when they are that high up. But, still....yikes!

Good luck on DoDMERB....I am sure an answer will come soon. Mid March-April seems to be the sweet spot for answers from CGA.

How Funny!!!! I'm feeling the same way!

I know in the back of my sons mind is the biggest question of his life to date...Am I going to CGA? To look at him, you would have no idea that he's anxious to hear a decision. Me, on the other hand,...I can pass out just reading everyones comments! Ok, yes, I am the stalker...the postman is my favorite! You know how baseball players dont shave during the series or how some teams dont wash uniforms intil the big game has ended...well, It's come down to wearing CG apparel everyday for me! Im praying every morning and night...leaving it in the big guys hands! Im so grateful for this site because I know there are others like me out there! God Bless you all and best wishes to your kids! Keepin it positive!
 
2nd time around!

Son decided to reapply and now I find myself going nuts all over again! My hubby just shakes his head at me and laughs! Enjoying a dbl header of baseball at Maritime... can't thank eveyone enough for the words of support...But I do have a question...where on the DoD website will you see a change in status...all I see is when info was requested and sent not even a qualified status & I know he's qualified have copy myself...anyone help weed through DoD? Many Thanks:redface:
