My son was diagnosed with asthma up until age 14. He had did the allergy shots for 4 or 5 years up until he was just shy of 13. We were told that because of this he would not need to take an inhaler puff daily so he just quit using the inhaler (his choice that I didn't know about until 6 months after). After he turned 13 he had one for maybe a year for precautionary measures. Knowing that he wanted to go into the service I sought out a pediatric pulmonologist to get rid of the diagnosis thinking that the "asthma" was related to the allergies. He can run for miles and swim for miles with no asthma attack or need for an inhaler. The pulmonogist is confident that he does NOT have asthma. She is willing to put him through a MMCT to be 100% sure. First question should we do it or wait for the DQ? Second, are her records going to override the pediatrician's because she's the expert? Third, should we include a letter on the initial submission of his medical records?
