Forgive me if this is something that has already been addressed, but I did a search and couldn't find any recent postings about this subject.

As I-Day quickly approaches, I just wanted to put a plug in for the Sponsor Family program. If your mid is coming from afar having a sponsor family is a huge bonus. I highly recommend your mid say "yes" on the request card (I believe this is all done on I-Day - someone correct me if I'm wrong).

The sponsor family provides you a home away from home. Sometimes, there will be several mids that are sponsored by one family. I know that I was very grateful to have a place to go crash on the weekends and unwind. If you don't get a sponsor family issued to you don't worry b/c I'm sure one of your classmates did and more than likely their sponsor would love to have you come over and more than likely they'll adopt you too!

Best of luck to the Class of 2013!

Just an added thing from a former plebe, sponsers are the absolute best. Home cooked meals, meals from resturants, a place to wear civies (just dont go out in them) and a nice bed to crash on, its amazing.
