I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to do a sport and be on a Marine Option NROTC scholarship at Georgetown University?

PS: the sport is rowing

Yes it is possible. NROTC, especially MO is time consuming and balancing ROTC and academics is challenging. Add in the time commitment for a sport just adds to the time demands. I am not telling you not to do it, just letting you know that it will be challenging. You best route would be to contact the Georgetown battalion and the rowing coach and get their opinions.

You would need the rowing coach and the PNS to work together in a cooperative manner.

If it's a club sport, it's unlikely to be an issue. If you're talking Varsity, that's a whole different ballgame. Then, yes, a strong working relationship would need to exist between the coach and the unit. However, the PNS is unlikely to have much/any involvement in it. The MOI would be the one responsible. You'd need to get him/her onboard.

PNS - Professor of Naval Sciences
MOI - Marine Officer Instructor

PNS is in the acronym list, MOI is not. I had to look it up.
