Hey everyone,

I will be reporting for indoc in less than 10 days and i am still unsure what I should bring for track and cross country practice. Am i allowed to wear Nikes during practice or am i restricted to Asics similar to indoc? Also, should I bring extra clothes for practice? Any info you have would be extremely helpful.

Thanks,

throutt

You won't be practicing during Indoc. The best thing to do is contact the coach and ask if he/she can hold on or store your equipment during Indoc. Last year the DI's did not really say anything about what shoes candidates were wearing. If you have a brand that is better support than the one listed in the logging in booklet, wear those.

Sorry, i should have been more specific, after indoc will i need additional clothing and such for practices?

Yeah I would just ask your parents to ship it in the mail to your box.

DD took a bag of running gear with her and was able to give it to the coach at the team BBQ the day before Indoc. If you can possibly make it, go the the team BBQ! She had extra shoes and running clothes in it and was able to access them immediately after Indoc. You can wear whatever running shoes you choose for cross country and track.

Being on the cross country and track teams was a sanity saver for DD. She chose to go A-split so she could be on the cross country team all four years.

I have not recieved any info on a team BBQ is there somewhere I should look? Also, if I just bring practice gear on day one I should get it back after indoc correct?

We got info on Team barbeques if you went to the orientation, that is where we signed up for sports. If you did not attend the orientation but want to attend the BBQ, perhaps try call the academy and ask for a spot, but i know they wanted us to send in how many would be attending a while back..

Did you fill out the sports interest form when you applied?

Go ahead and either call the athletics department or email the coach. I doubt there will be a problem with you attending the cross country BBQ.
