Squadrons??

So, I understand the BCT squadron breakdown and how they separate into the academic squads after beast, but do you switch squads again before your 3* year? Can someone clarify for me, please?

The current way it works is that you go into a squadron after BCT based on your squad/flight and then you switch again after 3* year (so before 2* year). It has been after 4* year in the past, but starting with the 16ers, it went back to a 2-and-2 system instead of a 1-and-3 like it was for a few years before that.
